• Coweta County approves new data center guidelines after months of debate (wsbradio.com) — Coweta County commissioners in Newnan have approved new rules for data centers, keeping a 300-foot buffer from neighboring properties after months of heated public debate. Residents split over whether the guidelines go too far or not far enough, raising concerns about building height, neighborhood proximity, and infrastructure impacts. Commissioners say each future data center proposal will still be reviewed case by case.
   

• Coweta County kindergarten teacher arrested for shoplifting at Target (fox5atlanta.com) — Newnan police say a kindergarten teacher at White Oak Elementary has been suspended after store security reported she left the Newnan Target with about $36 in Lego toys hidden in her purse. The school system is conducting its own investigation, and the teacher faces misdemeanor shoplifting charges based on security video reviewed by officers.
