Cobb Department of Transportation crews will soon start picking up storm debris from the EF-1 tornado that hit the area Thursday evening and caused major damage to East and Northeast Cobb.
Residents must move debris to the curb and contact the DOT within this week in order to request a pick up.
"DOT staff will shift from grass cutting and other operations in order to handle these requests, so we ask the public to be patient as crews work as efficiently as possible," said Cobb County officials.
