Melanie Moore Wins Support Online

The 2010 Lassiter graduate finds out on tonight's finale of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance?" whether she or one of the other three finalists is the winner.

The world knows her as Melanie Moore, but she's known as "Mel" in Northeast Cobb.

The 2010 Lassiter High School graduate has been dancing since age 2. She trained for 12 years at Centre Stage School of Dance and furthered her training at Rhythm Dance Center. Her dance specialty is contemporary, and she's taking the dance world by storm with her performances on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance?

Thousands of people will fill Lassiter High School's gym tonight for a viewing party to watch the Northeast Cobb native compete for the title of “America’s favorite dancer.”

Here's what the critics are saying about Melanie:

Following Melanie's performance last night, Travis Wall, the Emmy-nominated choreographer, and season 2 SYTYCD runner-up, told Entertainment Weekly, “I’ve been pulling for Melanie [Moore] from day one. I feel that not only is she the best dancer, but her personality is great.”

Jane Lasky, National Celebrity Headlines Examiner of Examiner.com, reported yesterday that whether or not Moore wins tonight, she has garnered more attention than ever imaged by competing on SYTYCD. The young star is being eyed for future projects with Lady Gaga and Kenny Ortega.

TV Guide reports, "Why she'll win: We called it early on that the Ginnifer Goodwin doppelganger would be crowned victor this season, and she's proven that even more each week by giving it her all. Beyond just her incredible extension, she could win for both her technical and artistic expertise as well as her overall adorable demeanor.

"Why she won't win: Honestly, she's so good that viewers might take it for granted that she'll go all the way and get lazy about voting for her."

Jarrett Wieselman of the New York Post's Pop Wrap said, "The one who truly stood heads and shoulders above the rest was college student Melanie Moore. I mean, anyone who doubles for Ginnifer Goodwin is A-OK in my book, but then she delivered one of the most emotionally resonant auditions this show has ever seen."

Here's what peoples are saying on the Melanie Moore Facebook Page:
