Olens Elected to National Office

Colleagues in 13 southern states have selectedΒ Georgia Attorney General Sam OlensΒ as the nextΒ southernΒ regionΒ chairman for theΒ National Association of Attorneys General.
βI am honored to be chosen by my peers to lead the southern region for NAAG during the coming year,βΒ Olens saidΒ today in a statement. βI look forward to working with my counterparts in the other southern states on ways to better our individual states and the entire southern region.β
Elected Wednesday during the association's meeting in Boston, OlensΒ will serve on the group'sΒ executive committee and coordinate the southern region'sΒ agenda.Β
The southern region includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
OlensΒ was chairman of theΒ Cobb County Board of Commissionersfrom August 2002 untilΒ March 2010.
