Olens Elected to National Office
He will serve on the executive committee of the National Association of Attorneys General and coordinate the southern region's agenda.

Colleagues in 13 southern states have selected Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens as the next southern region chairman for the National Association of Attorneys General.
“I am honored to be chosen by my peers to lead the southern region for NAAG during the coming year,” Olens said today in a statement. “I look forward to working with my counterparts in the other southern states on ways to better our individual states and the entire southern region.”
Elected Wednesday during the association's meeting in Boston, Olens will serve on the group's executive committee and coordinate the southern region's agenda.
The southern region includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
Olens was chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissionersfrom August 2002 until March 2010.
