'Footloose', Filmed in Marietta Area, Premieres

The remake of the 1984 film staring Kevin Bacon was filmed in parts of Cobb County.

For three months last fall, many communities in Cobb County were part of the filming of the remake of Footloose, including Kennesaw, Marietta, Acworth and Hiram. The ’80s remake had many scenes filmed at Osborne High School.

The remake features four covers from the 1984 soundtrack. Do you have a favorite?

"Holding Out for a Hero" (Ella Mae Bowen).

"Let's Hear It for the Boy" (Jana Kramer).

"Almost Paradise" (Victoria Justice & Hunter Hayes).

Locals can be on the lookout for places they know when Footloose premieres in theaters this weekend.
