Viewfinder: Addison's International Walk to School Day
Addison Safe Routes to School team celebrated International Walk to School Day Wednesday morning.
Principal Karen Crowder, Coach Keith Golden, Safe Routes to School Champion/Addison PTA Jenifer O'Donnell, and District 3 Commissioner JoAnn Birrell along with dozens of parents led two walking groups of Addison Elementary students this morning in celebration of International Walk to School Day.
Over 100 students, with support from the , walked nearly half a mile to school.
International Walk to School Day marks Principal Crowder's commitment to a yearlong Walking Wednesday program to encourage healthy habits and safety education.
