Congratulations to Oconee County High School agriculture education teacher Travis Walker and his FFA nursery landscape team as they have captured the Area and State Nursery Landscape winners' trophies.
The nursery landscape contest is divided into two different parts: an ID section where students are required to know over 50 species of plants commonly used in landscapes, and a written general horticultural knowledge based test.
The competition is based on the educational objectives of the Georgia Agriculture Education horticulture curriculum and standard practices in the horticulture industry.
