Four Oconee County schools were recognized earlier this month at a school board meeting for their designation as "Highest Performing" Title 1 Reward Schools, based on performance on statewide assessments.
Reward Schools for 2013 were determined based on data from 2011, according to OCS Federal Programs Director Shannon Hammond, and three of the four Reward Schools that are still Title 1 schools will receive $10,000 to be spent on Title 1 Students. They are Oconee County Elementary, Colham Ferry Elementary, and Oconee County Middle.
Rocky Branch Elementary School is no longer a Title 1 School, but it was named a 2013 reward school based on that 2011 data.
