
Jordan Farrington, a Medical Responder in Oconee County since 2006, has been recognized by the Northeast Georgia EMS Council as the 2013 Medical Responder for Oconee County.
Over the past seven years, Farrington has served in numerous positions within Oconee Fire Rescue including Firefighter, Medical Responder, Station Captain, and EMT-I. During 2012, he responded to a large number of medical and fire calls in Oconee County.
“Jordan is a great asset to Oconee County Fire Rescue and truly shows what volunteerism is all about,” said Fire Chief Bruce Thaxton. “His passion and caring for the community is unmatched, and his dedication shows not only thru EMS responses, but his willingness to assist with the Medical and Fire training classes, Fire Prevention classes, and Public Relations events.

Farrington, who is an active Medical Responder in the department, received his plaque during Northeast Georgia EMS Awards Banquet, held at the Oconee Civic Center on May 1st. The annual banquet honors all EMS Personnel in the 10-county service area for Northeast Georgia Health District / Region 10 and recognizes them for their achievements throughout the year.
