Female Volunteers Aged 50-64 yrs Needed for UGA Diet and Exercise Study
A diet and exercise study is being conducted at UGA.

A UGA researcher is recruiting non-smoking, postmenopausal womenΒ for a 6-month study examining the effects of a diet and exercise intervention on weight loss and genetic markers.
The intervention will be performed in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia.Β
Participants may receive a pedometer, valued at $20. Additional incentives include the chance toΒ win a 3-month membership to the Department of Kinesiologyβs Center for Physical Activity and Health, valued at $105 each, for use following the completion of the study.
Due to the nature of the study, womenΒ with a history of weight loss surgery or those currently using weight loss medications can't be included. Because theΒ study is interested in genetic markers, the intervention is limited to Caucasian women.
If interested or if you want more information contact: The Body Composition and Metabolism Lab via email. The Principal Investigator is Ellen M. Evans, Ph.D., from the UGAΒ Department of Kinesiology.
