Area Residents 'Run for Boston' at Oconee Veterans Park
They joined a nationwide effort to "run together as a sign of solidarity for the people and runners of Boston."
Some area residents gathered Wednesday at Oconee Veterans Park and joined the nationwide effort to "Run for Boston."
The purpose, according to a Facebook Page by the same name, was for "runners, non-runners, and people who believe in hope and peace to "run together as a sign of solidarity for the people and runners of Boston."
The Page had over 23,000 likes as of 10:30 p.m. and photos were pouring in from around the country.Β The images will be compiled into a book and mailed to Boston.
