Doctor Indicted on Child Molestation Charges - Sandy Springs Patch

A Fulton County Grand Jury has indicted a Sandy Springs doctor on charges that he molested a juvenile female during a sleepover at his residence.

Doctor Kelly Thrasher was indicted Tuesday on Child Molestation. The Fulton County Grand Jury added the charges of Sexual Battery and Aggravated Sexual Battery to the indictment. Thrasher was arrested on Jan. 24 after his release from the Ridgeview Medical Center where he entered himself after detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the molestation complaint.

Gun Club With 28-Lane Indoor Shooting Range Opening in Gwinnett - Dacula Patch

In just a few months, area residents will have a new place to hone their firearm skills.

Verne Fowler said he expects his Georgia Gun Club to open in mid- to late July. Gwinnett County recently issued the development permit for the club, which will be located at 1951 Braselton Highway.

The 4.06-acre recreational facility near the intersection of Braselton Highway and Old Peachtree Road will include a 37,300-square-foot, two-story building featuring 28 indoor lanes -- eight tactical, 12 small arms and eight 100-yard rifle lanes.

Middle School Student Charged with Terroristic Threats - Cumming Patch

A 14-year-old Chestatee Middle School student, in nearby Gainesville, was taken into custody Wednesday for making threats of a shooting, according to authorities.

Investigators and school officials were made aware of the situation after classmates overheard the student on Monday, Feb. 4, making comments about β€œshooting up the school," a press release stated. Those students notified their parents later that evening, and the parents brought it to the attention of officials.
