Gwinnett County Police are investigating a Dec. 13 burglary that may have been committed by a relative or relatives of the victims.

A Dacula man said he and his wife left their Paiute Court home at approximately 8 a.m. and returned home around 5:30 p.m. to discover the residence had been burglarized. The burglar(s) had apparently first attempted to enter through a downstairs bathroom window, breaking the outer pane of the window in the process.

"The suspects were evidently not able to gain access to the residence from such a small window," the officer noted in the report. "The suspects then went to the rear door of the residence and from the pry marks used the same tool to force the back door open."
