Faith Offers A Safe Place To Explore What Christianity Is About

Christianity Explored starting at Faith in October

Why are we here? Is there a God? What is life all about?

Christianity Explored is a free 5-week course offered by Faith Presbyterian Church on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7PM on October 20, 27, November 3, 10, and 17. Christianity Explored provides time and space to consider these big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith - Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome – whether you are an experienced church attender, a convinced atheist, or somewhere in between. Faith’s Senior Pastor, Nathan Parker, will be leading the study.

β€œImpressions of Christianity and portrayals of the faith today cover a wide range,” says Nathan. β€œWith Christianity Explored, folks can voice their doubts and objections in the context of learning and discovery. In doing so, we move past caricatured Christianity and look at what the Bible actually says.”

Participants will study a book of the Bible (the Gospel of Mark) and learn about the basics of Christian belief and what it means to follow Christ today.

Faith understands that people may have objections and fears around Christianity, so they have made it a priority to provide an environment where people do not feel judged, belittled, or pressured.

β€œOur aim is to help you investigate Christianity in a relaxed and accessible way. You don't need to know anything about the Bible. You won't be asked to read aloud, pray, or sing. And, you can ask any questions you want, or just listen,” says Nathan.

The class will be available both in-person at Faith and via Zoom. For those attending in-person, dinner will be provided and childcare is available on request.
