Garden Dedication Planned and Back-to-School Bash Coming Soon

Do you have news you would like to share with the Oconee County community? It's easy to do.  Patch readers like you have posted a variety of news and events during the past week, and we've rounded up the top 5.

1. The garden at the intersection of Highway 441 and Colham Ferry Road in Watkinsville has recently been named John McNally Park. A special ceremony will be held in his honor in August. Read Angela Helwig's blog post to learn more.

2. Five advanced students from The Studio auditioned and attended nationally competitive summer intensive programs at The Rock School, Atlanta Ballet, and Ballet Magnificat.

4. Ellis Pain Center and Fox's Pizza Den have partnered with the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce to collect school supply donations.

5. Make plans to attend a Back-to-School Bash at Oconee Gymnastics & Cheer.  There will be a food fundraiser, carnival and silent auction.
