Two Injured in Three-Vehicle CrashΒ -Β Canton-Sixes Patch

Two men suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident Thursday in Canton.Β Cherokee County Fire and Emergency ServicesΒ and theΒ Canton Fire DepartmentΒ both responded to the accident at roughly 4:45 p.m. on Marietta Highway near its intersection with Knox Bridge Highway/Highway 20 in the city limits.

The accident involved a red Dodge Neon, a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a white Toyota SUV. The passenger in the Dodge Neon, a 35-year-old male, had to be removed from the vehicle using Jaws of Life equipment.Β

Minor Injuries Reported in Power Plant Explosion - Cartersville Patch

Georgia PowerΒ officials say a total of four people suffered minor injuries in a Thursday explosion at Plant Bowen near Cartersville. No one was seriously hurt.

Three of the injured were treated on scene, while a fourth was treated at and released from a hospital. AΒ minor leg injury sent a 60-year-old manΒ toΒ Cartersville Medical CenterΒ for treatment.

Police Release Photos and Video of Kidnapping/Robbery Suspects - Buckhead Patch

Atlanta PoliceΒ have released video footage and a photo of a suspect wanted for questioning who may be involved in one or more of the recent kidnapping and robbery cases in the Buckhead area.

The chairwoman of theΒ Georgia Republican PartyΒ has drawn sharp rebuke around the nation for remarks she made toΒ The Marietta Daily JournalΒ this week about gay marriage.
