Jefferson Woman Loses Purse With $46,426 Worth of Jewelry

The woman told police she left her purse in a Jackson Street restaurant, according to information from ACC Police.


A Jefferson woman told Athens Clarke County Police said she had left her purse on a table at a North  Thomas Street restaurant.

When she realized she didn't have her purse, she returned to the restaurant. The purse had not been turned in and it could not be located on or near the property.

The purse contained a cell phone, debit card, and jewelry. The total value was $46,426.

This occurred between 7pm and 10pm on October 19 but was not reported until around 12 noon October 20.
