Many Attempt, and Fail, To Shoplift along Epps Bridge Parkway

On November 16th, Oconee County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call at 8:45pm from Kohl's loss prevention officer. Tracey Lynn Eberhart, 46, of Madison was charged with a misdemeanor of theft by shoplifting for trying to take $60 worth of jewelry.

Also on the 16th, at 9:17pm, deputies went to Walmart, where they found Anna Marie Carrollton, 23, of Athens detained by the loss prevention officer. She had tried to steal $46 worth of underwear.

On November 17th, at 7:56pm, a man ran from Walmart, carrying two CDs that he didn't pay for. He was later identified at Andrew Hampton, 43, of The Plaza in
Athens. Deputies found him in the parking lot of a nearby iHop and charged him with shoplifting.

On the 17th, at Walmart, deputies found Garland Paschal, Jr., 40, of Athens, who had attempted to take $55 worth of clothing. He was charged with shoplifting, a mesdemeanor.
