Here's the job description for grooming associates from PetSmart.com: 

As a PetStylist, you'll delight our Pet Parents by bathing and grooming all breeds of dogs to breed-specific standards and meeting the requests and personal preferences of the Pet Parent. As a Bather, you'll ensure the safety and security of pets by adhering to all grooming policies and procedures. You'll prepare dogs for bathing by trimming their nails and cleaning their ears. And, you'll bathe and dry dogs. Additionally, you'll interact with Pet Parents, help maintain a clean Salon, and maintain detailed records of services performed.
