Oconee July 4th Spectacular Event Update

Here's a statement from the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department:

"Park and Emergency Management officials are exercising a wait and see approach for the Oconee 4th of July Spectacular scheduled for Independence Day at Oconee Veterans Park beginning at 6:30pm with Fireworks at 9:30pm. Officials will be reviewing weather updates every 6 hours beginning 6:00pm July 3rd. Any changes to the scheduled event will be broadcasted by WMSL 88.9 FM, posted on the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department weather hotline 706-769-2965; department website, facebook and twitter feeds and via the Oconee County Sheriff Department’s Nixel alerts. A final decision will be made no later than 12:00pm on July 4th."
