Oconee Sheriff Announces His Brother Charged with Possessing Child Porn

In a Facebook message headlined "To All of My Friends and Supporters," Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry announced Tuesday that his brother, Glenn Douglas Berry, has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that in August Glenn Berry, 45, of Flowery Branch, "was charged on 368 counts of child pornography, manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana."

Sheriff Berry says on his Facebook page that his brother surrendered himself to him after the sheriff learned of the charges.  He is currently being held without bond in the Hall County Detention Center, the sheriff added.

A Hall County grand jury indicted Glenn Berry on 26 counts last week, the Gainesville Times reported.

"I will always love my brother," Sheriff Berry says on his Facebook page, "but I am in the business of putting people like him in prison, and I expect him to be treated no differently than any other criminal."
