Oconee Today -- April 11

Weather:  The Weather Channel predicts sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s today with northwest winds 10-20 mph. Low relative pressure and gusty winds across north and central Georgia have prompted the issue of a Red Flag Fire Weather Warning that will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.   Under these conditions, fires could develop and spread quickly.

Top things to know:

• University of Georgia students and alumni are invited to a free "Jumpstart Your Job Search" workshop from 6-7 p.m. in the Miller Learning Center, Room 248.
• Anime and Manga fans are invited to a meeting of the Anime Club at 6 p.m. at the Oconee County Library.  Teens ages 13-18 may participate.
• Watkinsville City Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Community Center. 
• Applications for summer Drama Camp at Winder Cultural Arts Center are now available via email at pam@pamveader.com or they may be picked up at 41 S. Center Street in Winder. .
