Weather: Sunny skies are in today's National Weather Service forecast with a high temperature around 68 degrees. Clear skies are expected overnight and lows will drop into the upper 30s.

  • Athens Regional Medical Center is holding its from noon to 6 p.m.
  • A fun and innovative way to encourage your child's love of reading is to schedule a time slot for the program.  Kindergarteners through fourth graders will enjoy reading aloud to a dog. Parents can register their child for a 15-minute session.  The program runs from 3-4 p.m.
  • Oconee is updating its Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan, which better prepares the community for a natural hazard event.  The Oconee County Emergency Management Agency is asking residents to take a brief survey to help with disaster planning.  Follow this link to the survey.
