Weather: Patches of frost are possible before 8 a.m. The National Weather Service predicts another windy day with gusts of up to 25 mph, sunshine and highs in the upper 60s.

  • Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests continue this week for third through eighth graders at Oconee County Schools.  Superintendent John Jackson has said students should get plenty of rest and eat hearty breakfasts.
  • A ribbon cutting-ceremony will be held at Cross Fit Oconee, located 1071 Jamestown Blvd, Suite EI across from the Oconee Youth Playhouse, at 10 a.m.  The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is holding the event.
  • UGA's Diamond Dogs face rival Georgia Tech at Turner Field for a 7 p.m. game.  Go Dawgs!
  • The Oconee County Board of Commissioners meets in a work session at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the courthouse.  On the agenda is c with Clarke County concerning the Caterpillar project.  A complete draft og the agenda is attached as a pdf.
