Road work, tree whips, and a comedy tour are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Watch out for early morning patches of fog. The National Weather Service predicts warmer temperatures with highs in the low to mid 60s and sunny skies.
Top things to know:
- is scheduled to begin today at 8:30 a.m. on the north side of the bridge on Simonton Bridge Road. The Oconee County Public Works Department advises traffic will be restricted to a single lane while this work is performed.
- The City of Watkinsville is giving away tree whips this week in celebration of Georgia's Arbor Day, which is Feb. 17.Β Call City Hall at 706-769-5161 for more information.
- On the sports calendar, the JV boys' and girls' soccer teams host Apalachee starting at 5:30 p.m.
- The S.E.L.L.O.U.T. comedy tour comes to the University of Georgia for an 8 p.m. show at the Tate Student Center. A variety of comedians who have appeared on many television programs will perform.Β Tickets are $10 and free for students.
