Confirmed Tornado Barrels Through GA
The EF-1 tornado lasted on the ground for 7 minutes and had peak winds near 95 mph in Georgia.

ATLANTA, GA — As storms pounded Georgia on Saturday, an EF-1 tornado swept through Carroll County, leaving destruction in its wake.
Though there were no injuries, the Carroll County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management said "a severe weather event" damaged a Staples Dairy Road home and multiple Liberty Church Road outbuildings and barns.
The National Weather Service's Peachtree City office on Sunday confirmed a twister touched down from 10:54 a.m. to 11:01 a.m. in Carroll, specifically near Lowell, lasting for 7 minutes with peak winds near 95 mph.

The NWS issued a tornado warning for southeastern Carroll, northern Coweta and southern Fulton counties. Impacted Fulton areas included South Fulton, Palmetto and Chattahoochee Hills.
The Coweta County Sheriff's Office said a "tornado-producing storm" traveling at 50 mph was spotted around 11 a.m. Saturday over Plant Yates, which is 11 miles northwest of Newnan. Carroll is about 22 miles from Newnan.

On Monday, the NWS predicted increased fire danger due to low relative humidity levels in east central Georgia, including Atlanta.
By Wednesday, more showers are set to return and should clear out by Thursday.
Georgians were cold Monday morning, facing a high temperature of 48 degrees. Monday night's low could plummet to 32 degrees, according to the NWS.
