For five bucks, this event at the Athens Classic Center offers healthy food samples, cooking demonstrations, manicures, facials, massages, health screenings, fashion shows, exercise planning, scrapbooking and self-defense workshops.

3. An at Lay Park in Athens is one of two special cinematic events on offer today. This one's in recognition of Black History Month.

4. Today also kicks of the at Cine. This event focuses on the Jewish experience throughout time and throughout the world.
