Let's extend an official welcome to spring!

Weather: Partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid 80s are in the Weather Channel's forecast for today.  There's a 20 percent chance of a scattered thunderstorm, most likely in the afternoon.

  • The Hard Labor Creek Regional Reservoir Project Management Board meets at the Government Building in Monroe at 1 p.m. Items on the agenda include an update of land acquisitions, project mitigation and the status of the governor's water supply program. See the complete agenda, which is .
  • You'll have to drive a bit to this one, but it might be worth it if you are seeking employment. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the , Women For Hire will be holding a free Career Expo.  Parking is also free.  Attendees should bring their resumes and dress in business attire. 
  • The Good Ole Girls Outreach -- a free networking opportunity for businesswomen -- meets at from 5:30-7 p.m.  Women interested in learning more about the group are welcome to attend.
  • The UGA Diamond Dogs play host to Georgia Tech in a 7 p.m. game at Foley Field.  Cheer them on for $5 a ticket or $8 for a reserved seat.  Admission is free for UGA students and staff.
