Health Inspectors Visit McDonald's and Washington Farms

Take a look at recent restaurant inspections in Oconee County. View a list of scores, detailed violations and corrective actions.

The following is a list of Oconee County restaurants that have been inspected recently.  All information was obtained from the Northeast Georgia Health District's health scores website.

Each kitchen is given a score, and any violations are listed online.  The restaurant or cafeteria is categorized as low risk if there are no critical violations and a score of 90 or more is achieved.  For a food establishment to be categorized as high risk, one or more critical violations must be found.

Any restaurant with a failing grade -- a score of 70 or less -- receives a follow-up inspection within 10 days.

  • Violation of : 16B. Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices - Plumbing leak at three-compartment sink. (dispensers)
  • Violation of : 17A. Toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, cleaned - Paper towels not provided in men's room. Paper towels needed in restroom if customer must touch door handle to exit.

Low Risk - No critical violations

Non-critical violations:

  • Violation of : 6-2. Proper date marking and disposition - Hot dogs not date marked. Corrective action: once opened, place a 7 day expiration.
  • Violation of : 12A. Contamination prevented during food preparation, storage & display - Cotton candy and lemonade squeezer set up outside. Corrective action: moved inside.
  • Violation of : 14C. Single-use/single-service articles: properly stored, used - Single service cups, trays, plates stored on floor.
  • Violation of : 15A. Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used - Crockpot, microwave and roaster are not NSF approved (residential).
  • Violation of : 15B. Warewashing facilities: installed, maintained, used; test strips - Cannot locate test strips.
