Burglar Steals Silver Necklaces, Nike Air Force 1 Shoes and Digital Camera from Natalie Court Residence

The following incidents were reported to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office:

• On Dec. 21 around 2:30 p.m., deputies were called to a residence on Natalie Court.  A woman said she left her home around 6:50 a.m. and returned at about 4 p.m.  She noticed her blinds were up on the kitchen window and the window was pushed in. She pushed the window shut and looked at her back door where she noticed the lock on the door was locked but the deadbolt was unlocked.  Several items were missing including a laptop, three silver necklaces, a pearl ring and a pair of Nike Air Force 1 shoes, a digital camera about $700 worth of items.

• Store security reported on Dec. 21 that a woman attempted to walk out of Walmart on Epps Bridge Parkway without paying for a DVD set.  Shelley Faye Wilson, 39, of Madison, was charged with theft by shoplifting.

• A semi-truck parked at an address in the 4000 block of Monroe Highway on Dec. 22 around 5 p.m. was entered. The crime was discovered on Dec. 23 at 10:20 a.m. when the driver found the passenger vent window had been shattered.  The electronic controls for the door locks were beside the vent window.  A GPS unit, phone holder and power adapter, worth $45, were missing.

• A burglary in the 1400 block of Dove Creek Road reportedly occurred sometime between 2 and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 23. Someone entered the residence and removed multiple items valued at $647. A Kindle Fire, LeapFrog LeapPad and clothing were among the stolen items.
