Students Enter Final Week of Summer Break
Here's a quick snapshot of important dates in 2013-14 for Oconee County Public Schools.
Back to School is in season and the clock is ticking on summer vacation for students in Oconee County.

There's just one more week before the 2013-14 academic year begins for Oconee County Schools.
1. Aug. 5: Meet the Teacher! Elementary school students and parents can visit their school and teacher from 1-3 p.m. Middle and high school students and parents can visit their schools from 2-4 p.m.
2. Aug. 7: First Day of School (It's OK to be a little jealous of Walton County next door, which opens Aug. 14).
3. Nov. 25-29: Thanksgiving Break. Hey kids, your parents only got Thursday and Friday off when they were your age.
4. Dec. 20-Jan. 6: Winter Break. Wow. Includes four weekends!
5. April 7-11: Spring Break. It will feel like longer than that if your break includes a road trip to Orlando.
6. May 21: Last day of school!
