Teen Suicide Victim Remembered with Balloon Release
Family and friends gathered at Oconee Memorial Park on Saturday to honor the life of Jeremy Huff and raise awareness, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

Those who knew and loved North Oconee High School student Jeremy Huff came together on Aug. 10, 2013 to honor his life and raise awareness for teen suicide.
Hundreds of balloons were released at Oconee Memorial Park in remembrance of the teen who died one year ago, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.
"A lot of time these teens get so caught up in life that they forget who really loves them,” Jeffrey Huff, Jeremy's father, told the newspaper.
Huff added that he plans to hold the balloon release every year.
There are a number of national organizations that provide resources about teen suicide prevention. Visit the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, National Association of School Psychologists and Yellow Ribbon for more information.
