Watkinsville Police Charge Man with Burglary and Theft Following Traffic Stop
The suspect was found driving a stolen pickup truck after allegedly having taken the vehicle's keys from inside of a Cedar Drive residence earlier in the day, police say. An arrest isn't a conviction.

Police say a 30-year-old man entered a Watkinsville home Wednesday, took keys to a truck and some credit cards, and drove off in the vehicle.
Responding to reports of a possible impaired driver, officers pulled the suspect over on New High Shoals Road near Bishop's Vineyard subdivision around 11:15 a.m., Police Chief Lee O'Dillon explained.Β
The man was unable to answer questions about the truck's owner, he said, and further investigation led police to a duplex on Cedar Drive where it was discovered some items had been taken from the residence.

Officers charged Aaron Tyler Poss with burglary in the first degree and theft by receiving stolen property, but no traffic-related offenses and police said he wasn't impaired.
"We knew he went in [the duplex] and that he wasn't supposed to be there," O'Dillon said.Β

Poss is linked to an address in Colbert, but officers believe he may have been staying at a residence near the one that was burglarized, O'Dillon said.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional details weren't available.
