The weather at a glance

While we've enjoyed plenty of sunshine over the last few days, Patch blogger Northeast Georgia Weather says we'll see wet weather return this week.   Highs will be in the mid 80s. 

Government meetings

The Oconee County Board of Elections holds a monthly meeting at 3 p.m. today.

The Oconee County School Board meets for a work session today at 5 p.m. at the district central office building. On the agenda is a update on school renovations and capital projects. Millage rates for FY 14 will also be discussed.

Interested in learning more about the Keep Oconee County Beautiful Commission? Attend a meeting today at 7 p.m. at the government annex building.

A meeting of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at the courthouse.  View the agenda.

The Cultural Affairs & Tourism Committee meets on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Oconee Veterans Park starting at 6:30 p.m.
