He recalls community kindness during everyday encounters and tough times like last year’s flooding, and says he leaves with “no complaints, no regrets” and deep appreciation for those who backed local officers.

• Bryan County arrests mark largest gang prosecution in state history (savannahnow.com) — A major gang prosecution tied to a 2022 shootout at Flacos House Bar and Grill and the Red Roof Inn on Highway 17 in Richmond Hill has led to guilty pleas from 15 motorcycle gang members. State and local agencies, including Richmond Hill Police, seized more than 100 weapons and several vehicles after a 13‑month investigation aimed at stopping violence that endangered bystanders.
