• GBI investigates officer shooting during stolen vehicle traffic stop (valdostatoday.com) — A police pursuit of a reportedly stolen SUV ended at a Circle K on Lafayette Road in Rossville, where an East Ridge officer fired at the fleeing vehicle but no one was hurt. The SUV’s occupants refused commands, drove off, and the vehicle was later found elsewhere in Rossville. State investigators are now reviewing the officer’s actions for the local district attorney.
