13 Displaced, Cat Rescued In Early-Morning Apartment Fire In Fulton Co: Reports

No injuries were reported in the fire at the Atlantic Newtown Apartments, but five apartments were destroyed according to officials.

ROSWELL, GA — More than a dozen people were displaced in an early-morning apartment fire in Roswell, according to local media reports.

No injuries were reported in the fire at the Atlantic Newtown Apartments on Nesbit Ferry Road early Saturday, added the Roswell Fire Department. Fire officials reminded residents that "working smoke alarms save lives!"

Officials told WSB-TV that five apartments were destroyed, leaving 13 people without their homes. Firefighters rescued a cat from the apartment where the fire originated, according to the Georgia Sun.
