The free program offered by North Fulton Community Charities fulfills its mission of self-sufficiency and preventing homelessness.

ROSWELL, GA — North Fulton Community Charities recently awarded 15 graduates their GED certificates. This free program offered by the NFCC Education Center helps fulfill the organization's mission to build self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness and hunger in our community by providing emergency assistance and enrichment programs.

More than 230 residents have obtained their GED certificate through NFCC since the program began in 2013. Donations from the community allow North Fulton Community Charities to keep all their education classes including the GED program free of charge while other GED programs cost over $200 per person.

“The GED graduation celebration is an important rite-of-passage for our graduates,” said Eden Purdy, director of programs at NFCC “We are very thankful for our GED tutors who give their time, talent and treasure to make the program possible.”
