ROSWELL, GA — Two teen athletes with disabilities who play wheelchair basketball were surprised this week with brand new, customized sport wheelchairs at Centennial High School in Roswell.

BlazeSports America surprised student athletes Keith DeBrosse, 19, of Decatur and Yahweh Mann, 17, of Griffin with the wheelchairs Monday. The athletes are the winners of the BlazeSports Leadership in Sport essay contest.

The wheelchairs were made possible by The Hartford’s Ability Equipped program. BlazeSports America will also receive a $40,000 grant from The Hartford, which will be used to purchase new adaptive sports equipment, such as adult and youth racing chairs. The new, custom adaptive equipment will provide the youth athletes the opportunity to continue playing the sport they love.
