3 Charged With Sex Trafficking In Extensive Roswell Probe
The three people are accused of trafficking 20 women through Fulton County spas.

ROSWELL, GA — A year-long human trafficking investigation turned a corner this week when three people accused of trafficking 20 women in at least six spas and massage parlors were arrested, Roswell Police Chief James Conroy said Friday at a news conference.
Search warrants and arrest warrants were served Wednesday at 10 different homes and spas in Roswell, Johns Creek, Sandy Springs and Atlanta that Conroy said were used for supporting and facilitating human trafficking.
Conroy said Wei Cheng Huang, 56, of Johns Creek, Yan Lin, 41, of Johns Creek and Lin Chen, 36, of Rome, were charged on suspicion of racketeering, sex trafficking and labor trafficking.

“This operation, one of the largest of its kind in the region, marks a significant milestone in our ongoing effort to combat human trafficking at the organizational level” Conroy said. “The Roswell Police Department will continue to vigorously pursue those who exploit and victimize others in our community and beyond.”
Police began investigating human trafficking in Roswell after the Roswell City Council passed an amended city ordinance in May 2022 to strengthen regulation at massage parlors and spas.
Roswell Police's Special Investigations Section led numerous undercover operations within local spas, where police said detectives began to link the leadership at the spas with criminal activity.
"As detectives continued to investigate these connections, they uncovered an extensive human trafficking and prostitution network spanning at least six spa locations thus far," police said in a news release.
Support and resources were provided to the victims in the case, police said.
Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson said at the news conference the probe bit "the head off the snake hitting some 10 places simultaneously."
"Not only must we protect the victims of human trafficking, we must eliminate human trafficking in our community altogether," Wilson said.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said her office began working on the case about six months ago. She commended the City of Roswell for acknowledging there was a human trafficking issue in the local community.
"We're just at the beginning of a long road, but we're at a good point," she said. "Today, no one should lose. This is a historic moment, where you have a city coming together and saying we are not going to have this happen."
Victim advocates from the district attorney's office, the local anti-trafficking organization Out of Darkness and the Alpharetta and Sandy Springs police departments assisted in the investigation. The probe remains ongoing.
