Here are the top four stories in Roswell today:
- A Roswell man spoke to Channel 2 about a connection between a tick bite and alpha-gal syndrome. Rob Attaway first started breaking out in hives 12 years ago, and endured for 9 years until he found out what was causing his hives. A bite from the Lone Star tick is believed to have caused alpha-gal syndrome. This syndrome causes a delayed reaction to red meat. He talked about his journey and how he continues to live his life to the fullest. (newsbreak.com)
- The Historic Bailey-Johnson School building off Kimball Bridge Road is to become the ‘Garren’ Adaptive Re-Use Office Campus. Formally known as the Alpharetta Colored School, the Bailey-Johnson school operated from 1950-1967 to serve Black students in North Fulton. More recently its been used as a maintenance facility for Fulton County Schools. Now a partnership between KB Venture Partners and Cresent Communities will reimagine the space to create a unique office campus in the Roswell-Alpharetta office market. (whatnowatlanta.com)
- Crabapple and Milton residents are invited to give their opinions on a proposed boutique hotel in Alpharetta. In a public meeting on July 13, residents are urged to attend via Zoom and share their views on this proposed 81-room hotel. Although this development is zoned for Alpharetta, it will border Crabapple and Milton neighborhoods. (thegeorgiasun.com)
- The latest round of subpoenas in the Fulton County grand jury probe, targets key republicans and and Trump advisors. U.S. ‌Sen. Lindsey Graham and former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani and other Trump advisors have been named in this recent list. Gov. Brian Kemp is set to record a statement on July 25. (GPB News)
