- Appen Media Group, a news outlet that covers Roswell, Alpharetta and North Fulton, will be adding a new column to its newspaper and social media platforms. Garden Buzz will be a new gardening commentary that will be added to their editorials. This column will be written by members of the North Fulton Master Gardeners and certified Master Gardener Extension volunteers. The North Fulton Master Gardeners say that this partnership will allow them to "provide horticultural education to the North Fulton community and beyond." (appenmedia.com)
- It seems the entire Metro area is talking about Roswell Restaurant Weeks. This event has been maned "the area’s largest restaurant week event." Over 45 restaurants and eateries are participating in this year's culinary celebration, with each offering there own fixed price menus. The diverse menus will feature signature dishes and new culinary conceptions. Roswell Restaurant Weeks is co-produced by Roswell Inc and Visit Roswell. Their goal, along with the City of Roswell is to support the local businesses and to help introduce new patrons to the participating establishments. - The 2022 Edwin Budding Award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) has been awarded to Trent Manning, an equipment manager at the Ansley Golf Club at Midtown in Atlanta and the Ansley Golf Club at Settindown Creek in Roswell. He is also a fellow GCSAA member. He began his career in the turf industry at Roswell's Ansley Golf Club at Settindown Creek when he was 16 years old. He soon rose through the ranks from a crew member to an equipment manager. Manning has held positions in several areas of expertise in the golf and sports turf industry and began the Reel Turf Techs Podcast in March 2021. Rhett Evans, the CEO of GCSAA, expressed that “Manning fosters a positive and supportive community for technicians and equipment managers in the turfgrass industry.” Trent Manning will officially accept the Edwin Budding Award at the 2023 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida on February 9. - City of Roswell, Georgia Government: U.S. Army Captain John Edward Douglas, Sr., was proclaimed an "Esteemed Veteran of Roswell" at the recent Mayor and Council Meeting. Captain Douglas, Sr. was commended for his service to Roswell and our country. His military career began as a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at Roosevelt High in Atlanta. He served in Vietnam and received his Honorable Discharge from the US Army in 1966, and continued to serve in the Army Reserves. Captain John Edward Douglas, Sr. has spent the last 30 years in for 30 years and has been a leader in the Atlanta business community, local Vietnam Veterans groups, and the University of North Georgia Alumni. - Roswell High School: The Roswell Theatre Company will be presenting the musical Bright Star to the Roswell High family and the Roswell community. The show will run from Thursday, January 26 through Saturday, January 28. Tickets are now on sale.(Roswell High School via Twitter)
- Roswell, Georgia Special Events: Vendor applications for this year's Alive in Roswell events. Applications will be available beginning on Monday, January 30. This monthly festival held in the evenings on every third Thursday from April through October. (Roswell GA Special Events via Instagram)

- Innovation Academy PTSO: The North Fulton College Fair will be held at Roswell High School on January 30 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. High school students will be able to meet with various colleges and representatives from the military. Registration in required. (Innovation Academy PTSO via Twitter)
