Spilberg was hired in August 2020 as the manager of a Crabapple Road sports bar. The DOJ said he started using a company-issued debit card in October 2020 to pay for personal visits to two adult entertainment clubs.

"The loss of this money caused a significant hardship to the restaurant and threatened the livelihood of its 40 employees and forced it to borrow COVID-relief funds to stay in business," justice officials said in a news release.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the Roswell Police Department.
