Here are the top three stories in Roswell today:

  1. Roswell Police received a report on February 4 from a construction worker who said he was assaulted by his construction crew after they were not paid for a job. The man told police that he was at another fellow crewmember's home on Belmont Drive in Roswell. Allegedly four men and one woman from his crew came to the house and began to assail the man who had not paid them. Injuries to the man's face were visible and confirmed by police. The assaulting co-workers left after the tenant of the home came outside with a gun. (appenmedia.com)
  2. Wegman’s Bayou Louisiana Kitchen was highlighted by Fox 5 for its success in bringing bayou to Roswell. The restaurant was opened at the beginning of 2022 by Chef Marc Wegman who is from Louisiana. He was trained by some of New Orleans' best. Fox 5 began its celebration of Mardi Gras in Roswell with Chef Wegman and his menu. Wegman’s Bayou Louisiana Kitchen is located on Canton Street in downtown. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  3. A theft of a vehicle occurred at the Ramada by Wyndham on Mansell Road on February 4. A man reported to the Roswell PD that his car was never returned to him after he lent it to two men he met at the hotel. The report states that one of the two men, who were middle-aged, asked if they could be driven south to see one of the men's brothers. The victim of the theft stated that he was intoxicated and could not. They offered to pay $40 to borrow the car for an hour and "collateral" was given as well. The duo never returned. The car has been reported stolen and the case is under investigation. (appenmedia.com)
