If you needed a complex medical procedure, would you choose a doctor fresh out of med school — or one with years of experience who’d done the procedure successfully hundreds of times?
The answer of course is obvious: experience matters. The same is true for the largest financial transaction of your life: the buying and selling of a home — even more so in today’s complex and fast-changing real estate market.

Here are the top three stories today in Roswell:
- A McDonough man was arrested in Roswell and has been charged with a hit-and-run, assault and burglary on Saturday, December 10. Officers were called to the scene of an accident after a woman called 911 to report a silver Mercedes hit the back of her vehicle three times and then drove away. The woman told police that she then followed the car, where at a stop sign, the driver exited his vehicle and came over to hers. She told police officers that he appeared “too drunk to drive.” Later that night, police responded to a residential burglary on Chads Ford Way. The burglary assailant was soon found. He matched the description of the hit-and-run driver and smelled of alcohol. He was taken into custody, where the Roswell PD reported that the man became violent enough for officers to tase and handcuffed him. The suspect was booked into the Fulton County jail and has been officially charged with two counts of hit and run, driving under the influence, simple assault, burglary, felony obstruction and following too closely. - Captain Ken Chadwick with the Roswell Fire Department has retired after 32 years of serving the city. Captain Chadwick joined the department in 1986 as a volunteer firefighter. Through his extensive career, he has served as training lieutenant and created the fire department's Apparatus Operator Program. Chadwick was promoted to Fire Captain for Stations 3 and 4 in 1998. He has also received several life-saving awards during his time with Roswell FD. Captain Chadwick ended his career serving as Captain at Fire Station 27. He will continue his dedication to Public Safety as the Division Chief of Operations at Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services. (faccebook.com)
- Another former athlete from our city has continued their academic and athletic career and made his hometown proud. Cole Weaver is in the 2023 class at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell. Weaver is also a record-making wide receiver on the schools football team. The Miami University RedHawks recently announced that Weaver is one of sixteen players who will be joining their football program in the fall. The Miami RedHawks currently rank fourth in the Mid-American Conference. (journal-news.com)
