The Roswell Fire Department will host two free community CPR classes focusing on infant and child CPR at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Rd. Roswell, GA, 30075.
Participants must be at least 12 years of age and a resident of Roswell.
The classes will be offered at 9 and 10:30 AM on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.
Each class is estimated to run 60-90 minutes and is limited to 20 participants.
The Fire Department will use the American Heart Association's (AHA) Family and Friends CPR Course, which is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. The course teaches the lifesaving skills of child and infant CPR and AED use and is ideal for students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
To register for the class, please visit the City’s website at www.roswellgov.com/fire.
All COVID safety guidelines as per the CDC and the City of Roswell will be followed.
