City, Roswell Rotary Club to Host 9-11 Tribute

The 9-11 tribute will be held Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mike Gann 9-11 Memorial.

Members of the public are invited to join the City of Roswell and the Roswell Rotary Club on Sunday, Sept. 11 as they honor those lost and injured during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The 9-11 Tribute will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Mike Gann 9-11 Memorial, located near the lake in Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Rd.

The tribute will feature the Roswell Fire and Police Honor Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard Pipe Band, the Holcomb Bridge Middle School Chorus, a floating wreath presentation, special guests and commemorations.

Atlanta radio legend Moby Carney will serve as master of ceremonies.

The 9-11 attacks were the deadliest terrorist attacks on American soil in U.S. history. The attacks killed 2,977 people, including 343 firefighters and 72 police officers, who had rushed to the scene to help people.
