Here are the top four stories today in Roswell:

  1. An electric car franchise will soon make its home in Roswell. City Council approved a rezoning request that will allow electric vehicles to be sold at the building at 950 Sun Valley Dr. The electric vehicle franchise has not been disclosed, but the owner of the property stated that the new tenant's lease will be for 35 years. The new dealership will sell new and used electric vehicles. The Planning Commission initially failed to pass the rezoning request for this property earlier this month, however, the city's Community Development Department recommended an approval. The City Council then unanimously approved the rezoning request. An opening date for the dealership has yet to be announced. (appenmedia.com) UPDATE: This summary has been updated to more accurately reflect the Planning Commission's failure to pass the rezoning request.
