Here are the top stories in Roswell today:

  1. On January 26 a Roswell couple reported a suspicious incident that occurred at their home on Creekside Way. The couple reported that a man in a white hoodie knocked loudly on their door around 1:00 AM and said “I’m going to kill you.” Officers did find a man who matched the description given by the husband and wife in the area. The suspect denied any involvement, but stated he did knock on another door in the community. The couple could not positively verify if he was indeed the same man who rapped on their door. Since there were no witnesses to the incident, the man was given a warning for criminal trespass and was able to leave the scene. (appenmedia.com)
  2. Carl Black Roswell has been a leader in the Roswell business community and is a highly successful dealership in the city. They have announced special low finance rates for the month of February. This offer is applicable for select Buick SUV models. They are also including 90 days of no monthly payments. More information on this promotion, and which models are included, can be found online at the Carl Black Roswell website or in-person. (einnews.com)
  3. After a routine traffic stop on January 24, Roswell Police arrested a man after a stolen handgun was discovered. The man, from Jenkinsburg, Georgia, was initially pulled over for having tints on his front window that was too dark per state code. After running his license plate, it was also uncovered that the man had multiple warrants from various jurisdictions. The car was searched as a result of the smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. In addition to the gun, bags of marijuana were also found. The driver told police that the handgun was majorly discounted and purchased off of Instagram. He was arrested and charged with theft by receiving. (appenmedia.com)
