If you needed a complex medical procedure, would you choose a doctor fresh out of med school — or one with years of experience who’d done the procedure successfully hundreds of times?
The answer of course is obvious: experience matters. The same is true for the largest financial transaction of your life: the buying and selling of a home — even more so in today’s complex and fast-changing real estate market.

Here are the top three stories today in Roswell:
- Dave McCleary is a member of the Roswell Rotary Club and a champion in the fight against human trafficking. In 2017, McCleary organized a candlelight vigil that was led by survivors to raise awareness for the victims of human trafficking. This vigil was held during the Rotary International Convention in Atlanta that year in which 12,000 people attended. His fight to end modern slavery was ignited after hearing a story from a survivor in Roswell. He is on the committee for an upcoming Human Trafficking Summit at the nearby Innovation Academy. This summit will be held on January 21, and will feature many keynote speakers. Georgia First Lady Marty Kemp will be among list of speakers for this free event. (appenmedia.com)
- The Chattahoochee Nature Center's Enchanted Woodland Trail allows one to escape to a forest of fairies and gnomes. See their forest-intwined homes as you walk along the forest's path. This enchanted display was designed and built by local artist, volunteers from the community, and donors. The Woodland Trail will be open until Tuesday, February 28. General admission into the nature center is required to experience the Enchanted Woodland Trail. (atlantaonthecheap.com)
- A local woman made a report to the Roswell Police Department that she was a victim of a $145,000 scam. She said she was conned out of the $145,000 via gift cards by a man she met online. The woman said she had been talking to the man online for almost a year and told the Roswell resident that he lost money overseas and need financial help. She offered to send him money, however, he specified that the money be sent in the form of Steam cards. These are gift cards used to purchase online video games. Since that time the woman bought and "sent photos of about $145,000" in Steam gift cards. The case is open and is being investigated by the Roswell Police. (appenmedia.com)
